Active Matter Editions: Standard, Advanced or Deluxe?
The official FAQ says Standard, Advanced and Deluxe give access to the same game content. Choose between their starting supplies and listed extras, rather than buying a higher tier to unlock a separate set of raids. Edition content returns on a self-wipe, with Prime excluded from that re-grant.

Compare the extras you would actually use
| Edition | Starting currency | Extras relevant to the choice |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 25,000 Credits; 300 Prime once | Starting weapons, equipment and ammunition. No edition storage/replicator expansion is listed. |
| Advanced | 60,000 Credits; 1,300 Prime once | First storage and replicator-queue expansions; Bouncer backup knife; Harpy drone recipe, plus a larger starting supply pack. |
| Deluxe | 185,000 Credits; 5,500 Prime once | Three listed storage expansions and two replicator-queue expansions; Harpy, Bonecrusher and Robot Dog recipes; Reaper/Knight shells; cosmetics and backup weapons; +1 Provided Equipment and +1 Operative Objectives slot. |
The currency figures are each edition’s listed totals, not bonuses to add on top of the lower tier. A supplied drone or weapon and its replicator recipe serve different purposes: the item is inventory, while the recipe is the listed crafting entitlement. This table groups decision-relevant extras rather than reproducing every ammunition stack.
If you mainly want access to the game, Standard meets that stated requirement. Consider Advanced for the first listed facility expansions and Harpy recipe; consider Deluxe if its extra expansions, recipes, slots or cosmetics are specifically useful to you. These are comparisons of listed benefits, not measured progression savings or a claim that a pricier edition is necessary.

Separate self-wipe returns from raid losses
The FAQ’s self-wipe answer returns edition content to your stash except Prime. Do not budget another 300, 1,300 or 5,500 Prime for every new Personal Timeline. This is an edition re-grant rule; it does not mean an existing Prime balance is erased by the reset.
A self-wipe is also different from dying in a raid. The FAQ does not promise immediate replacement of an edition weapon after every death, unlimited consumables, or that all loot collected later becomes edition content. Use the ordinary loss rules during a raid and the Personal Timeline guidance before resetting.
Steam soundtrack and Gaijin friend keys
Steam Deluxe includes the digital soundtrack. The FAQ also says it can be bought separately there. If that is the only extra you want, compare the separate option with the current upgrade price instead of treating Deluxe as the only route.
Elite Squad is a Gaijin Store offer: one Deluxe copy plus two Standard keys for friends. Its owner gets the same in-game content as Deluxe, not a higher gameplay tier. The keys are in the Gaijin Store purchase history; check that store’s offer before assuming a Steam Deluxe purchase includes friend copies.
If the Elite Squad owner refunds after friends activate those keys, the FAQ says the friends’ keys are deactivated. Discuss that consequence before distributing them. A friend who received Standard may upgrade it themselves through Gaijin Store.

Before buying or upgrading
Check the edition on your intended platform, the current local price, which listed extras you actually need, and whether you already own an eligible Gaijin PC copy. An existing-owner Steam claim is a separate task; do not buy a second copy merely because you want the Steam launcher.
