Active Matter Download: Official PC, PS5 and Xbox Access
Active Matter launched on September 15, 2026 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Use your platform’s official store or the Gaijin PC route below. The US Steam Standard Edition was US$29.99 when checked September 18, 2026; this site does not host the installer.
Choose the correct official access path
| Your platform | Official destination | Before you buy |
|---|---|---|
| Steam PC | Active Matter on Steam (external) ↗ | Check existing-owner entitlement first. |
| Gaijin PC | Official Active Matter site (external) ↗ | Use its PC/Gaijin purchase or owner-download flow. |
| PlayStation 5 | Active Matter on PlayStation Store (external) ↗ | Confirm the edition and price in your account region. |
| Xbox Series X|S | Active Matter on Xbox Store (external) ↗ | Use the Series X|S listing; do not assume older-console support. |
These are external official destinations, not downloads hosted by us. The launch announcement confirms the four access paths.
Price, edition and existing-owner checks
The US$29.99 figure is a dated Steam US Standard Edition observation, not a global price or an Advanced/Deluxe bundle price. Regional prices, taxes and promotions can differ; the store’s checkout is authoritative for your purchase.
Before buying another PC copy, check the free Steam-edition offer for Gaijin Early-Version owners. It has a November 23, 2026 deadline and account-linking consequences.

Compare edition extras, self-wipe returns and store-specific bonuses before upgrading.
Check installation requirements separately from price
Steam lists 45 GB of available space on an SSD and a broadband internet connection. That is an available-storage requirement, not a promise that the compressed download is exactly 45 GB. Your platform client determines the current download size.
For the CPU/GPU tables and their source discrepancies, use the hardware requirements guide. For Linux, Steam Deck, controller and crossplay support, use the platform guide.
After access is ready
Start with the first-raid preparation checklist. If avoiding PvP is the deciding factor, read Isolated Raids and current PvE limits before selecting your first mode.
There is no verified official browser-playable build in the access sources checked here. Store pages and artwork on this website do not launch the game in your browser.
Is there a current demo or a Steam key route?
Active Matter is now a released paid game on the official PC and console stores listed above. In the August 17 developer Q&A, Matter Team said additional demos were unlikely and that any change would be announced in a separate news post. No later official demo announcement was found in the September 22 news check.
The free Steam-edition process for eligible owners of the earlier Gaijin version is an account-linked claim with a November 23 deadline. It is not a generic Steam key offer, and this site does not validate third-party key marketplaces. Use the eligibility and account-consequence checklist before starting the official claim.
