Claim Active Matter on Steam: Gaijin Early-Version Owners
Owners of the Gaijin Store Early Version can claim the corresponding Steam edition at no extra cost by linking accounts by November 23, 2026. Check the Steam account and progress consequences below before opening the official linking page.
Who receives which edition?

This is an entitlement for eligible existing owners, not a free copy for every visitor. The August 25 instructions set the November 23 deadline; the September 15 launch notice and current FAQ repeat the offer.

Check these consequences before linking
- Use the already-linked Steam account. If your Gaijin account was linked through another Gaijin game, the official instructions require that same Steam account for progress transfer.
- Launcher progress replaces Steam demo progress. Do not expect the two saves to merge.
- Launcher access remains. The FAQ describes shared progress between the Steam and Gaijin PC versions after linking.
- Future edition upgrades move to Steam. The linking announcement says subsequent upgrades are through the Steam Store.
If the identity shown is not the one you intend, stop before confirming and ask Gaijin support. This guide does not recommend unlinking accounts or promise a recovery process.
Open the official claiming flow
- Confirm that the Gaijin account owns the eligible Early Version and identify any existing Steam link.
- Read the progress-replacement warning above.
- Open Gaijin’s official Steam-edition claiming page and sign in with the Gaijin account used for the purchase.
- Follow the official flow, checking the displayed identities before confirming.

This does not transfer PC progress to console
Steam/Gaijin PC sharing and console crossplay are separate features. For PS5 or Xbox, use the platform and progress guide; the FAQ does not offer PC-to-console progress transfer.
